Description: This well and spring information was orinigally obtained from the report “Nevada Low Temperature Geothermal Resource Assessment: 1994" by Larry J. Garside, Nevada Bureau of Mines and Geology, University of Nevada, Reno. It was compiled by the Oregon Institute of Technology, Geo-Heat Center and made available for distribution through the AASG National Geothermal Data Systems project. There are 455 entries in the Well Information Database with temperatures of 20oC or above including 132 wells/springs with a temperature above 50oC. There are 365 entries in the Chemistry Information Database. The reference citation listed in the other database is that for the source of the data. The records that were taken from the GEOTHERM database include the reference listed therein. A collocated study was completed by the Geo-Heat Center using the database compiled from the above mentioned report. A collocated community is defined as being within 8 km of a geothermal resource with a temperature of at least 50°C. There are 30 entries in the collocated database. The collocated information does not include the Reno/Moana area in the database.
