Description: This well and spring information was orinigally obtained from the report “1992-1993 Low-Temperature Geothermal Assessment Program, Colorado” Open File Report 95-1 by James A. Cappa and H. Thomas Hemborg, Colorado Geological Survey, Denver, CO. It was compiled by the Oregon Institute of Technology, Geo-Heat Center and made available for distribution through the AASG National Geothermal Data Systems project. There are 168 entries in the Well Information Database with temperatures of 20C or above including 47 wells/springs with a temperature above 50oC. There are 443 entries in the Chemistry Information Database.A collocated study was completed by the Geo-Heat Center using the database compiled from the above mentioned report. A collocated community is defined as being within 8 km of a geothermal resource with a temperature of at least 50C. There are 15 entries in the collocated database. The Geo-Heat Center has maintained a database of known direct-use applications located in the US; although, we believe there are a significant number of projects utilizing geothermal energy for space heating, greenhouses and resorts that are not included in this database.
